Regina city council will be discussing a few things at its monthly meeting Monday night including a pay raise for managers.
Council will look at pay raise of one percent for out-of-scope employees which includes the city’s management team.
Administration says an increase is needed to attract qualified employees and retain ones already in place.
Councillors will also debate a motion brought forward by Mayor Michael Fougere —one that could alleviate some major traffic headaches on the Ring Road.
Fougere has suggested the city needs to work on a solution to stop delays caused by trains on the Ring Road at the Winnipeg Street exit.
His motion calls for city administration to prepare a study on what it would cost to build either an overpass or underpass in the area.
Councillor Mike O’Donnell will also be putting forward a motion regarding solar panels. O’Donnell would like City Hall to look at the idea of placing what he calls “large numbers” of solar panels on city-owned buildings and land.
