The Medicine Hat Tigers are sending out a message that all the talent in the WHL’s Eastern Conference doesn’t solely reside in the Eastern Division.
Mark Rassell had two goals and two assists as the Tigers beat Brandon 7-3 to take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.
Medicine Hat has outscored Brandon 14-5 in the first two games of the series.
The only other WHL playoff game Sunday saw Portland beat Spokane 4-3 to even that best-of-seven Western Conference matchup at one.
Kieffer Bellows had a goal and an assist for the winners.
