When you are driving on the highways in the winter months, you never know what might be in store, and although it may officially be spring by date, it doesn’t feel like it with true winter temperatures in the forecast.
That’s why CAA Saskatchewan is issuing its long weekend safe driving tips.
The forecast is for sunshine, but colder than usual, so it could feel more like a winter drive as you head to visit family and friends.
Vehicle maintenance is always a priority, but especially when it’s cold.
CAA Spokesperson, Christine Niemczyk, advises to check your tire pressure and your belts, hoses, brakes, fluid levels and battery.
Drive with a full tank of fuel, pack a roadside assistance kit and add some bottled water and non-perishable food.
