Amongst other things, the units they has conducted close to 800 traffic stops and 83 license establishment checks and laying over 200 criminal code charges.
Corporal Ryan Davies said a lot of the work the unit does has a big focus on gang crime, and those of opportunity as well.
“People that are looking to take advantage of an easy situation, for example, like an open farm yard or a business area that may not be fenced or guarded, they’ll steal or take what they can,” he said.
“They can use to their own advantage, be it vehicles, tools, property or whatever.”
Davies said they employ to conduct their operation with the highest efficiency is simple: Make sure they are highly visible and over-saturate in a specific area, pulling over cars and knocking on the doors of those under warrant or conditions.
