In order to place girders on the new bridge that crosses Highway 1 near Pinkie Road, Regina Bypass will close a portion of the east bound lanes and diverting traffic around the construction area.
To continuing heading east on Highway 1, motorists will take the east bound off ramp at Pinkie Road and follow the service road to the temporary access point where they will re-enter the east bound lanes of Highway 1. Project designers say the detour will add about a minute to your trip.
Motorists heading north on Pinkie Road will not be affected by the detour. This detour will be place early next week until the end of April, weather permitting.
You should also be aware that the bridge on Highway 6 will now be open to two-way traffic for a short time
The temporary use of this bridge is needed for workers to continue construction on the south portion of the Bypass.
