This morning on my drive in to work on 4th Avenue I almost had to come to a complete stop so 4 people could cross the street. They didn’t wait for me to go by and they didn’t run across when they saw me coming. They waited for me and then purposely strolled across the street like they owned the darn thing. This didn’t even happen at an intersection.
The same thing happened as I was driving down Albert St. Two people decided it would be a good idea to mosey across the street right in front of me. I didn’t have to stop, but I was going slowly enough that if I yelled out the window I’d be able to hear them yelling back. No intersection here either.
When I got to the red light at Albert and Dewdney, five vehicles turned left and headed north on Albert Street. There were five vehicles waiting at a red light! At 3 A.M.! Were they all headed to the same place? If they were, I could think of a million better times of the day to play follow the leader.
I never see this stuff any other morning when I come into work. It’s almost like there’s a full moon every week. It’s called Friday and all the weirdos come out to play!
