Sunday morning after finishing off a half hour phone call with SaskTel, which I blogged about yesterday, I decided that both of our vehicles were in dire need of a good washing. So, after popping into the shower to give myself a good washing, it was off to the car wash.
I thought Sunday morning before 9 would be a great time to use the car wash. I figured there wouldn’t be much traffic around there at that time of the morning and I wasn’t disappointed.
When I took my vehicle, there was only one other car in the whole building. I like it when that happens. I wasn’t in there long. Within 10 minutes I was in and out with a nice clean vehicle. Next up, vehicle number two. On my way home I called my wife and asked her to start her vehicle up so I wouldn’t be jumping into a cold vehicle. When I got home I went into the house, grabbed her keys, and made my way back to the car wash.
By the time I got back it was a little busier, but I still had no problem finding an open bay. As a matter of fact, when I pulled in, I knew the guy who was washing his truck ahead of me. After we yakked for a few minutes I got down to business. Again, I was in and out in 10 minutes. What a great car wash day!
The only problem was, the $12 in change I used came out of my parking money. The day before I had grabbed $20 in toonies that would have lasted the entire week. Oh well, it was change well spent. It’s not like I blew it on cheezies and chocolate bars, which I usually do over the course of a week.
I have enough parking change to make it through today. I’ll grab some more change today, and with the car wash situation under control, it should last me well into next week, as long as I stay away from the chip machine at work!
