Debate in the Saskatchewan legislature centred on this week’s provincial budget.
NDP leader Ryan Meili says the budget missed opportunities to deal with unemployment, a changing climate and the inequity for indigenous people.
Premier Scott Moe says the budget is on track to support people and the economy.
Moe says the budget expands support for education, health care and infrastructure with goals to expand the economy for continued population growth.
Moe points out the province is focusing on growing the economy in hopes of further population growth…instead of out migration.
