With more seasonal temperatures expected to arrive in Regina, spring and summer activities will begin to pop into people’s minds.
Bryan Raymond is the Manager at Flowing Springs Golf Greens, and said an obvious late start to the season is unavoidable.
“Well normally we would open anytime from about the 12th of April to the 20th of April,” he said.
“We’re obviously going to be a little bit late this year, I anticipate that if we get the weather that’s forecast we may in fact start looking at opening the golf course in a couple of weeks,” Raymond said.
Raymond added their main concern right now is a deep ground freeze thanks to a lack of snowfall up until March.
“The biggest problem right now, is that we didn’t have much snow cover most of the winter, so the frost is quite deep in the ground which means it will be awhile before we can turn on the watering system, like I said probably a couple of weeks,” he said.
