The NDP accuses the SaskParty government of having no plan to fight climate change.
Opposition critic David Forbes says Ottawa will impose a carbon tax on Saskatchewan because the province is ill-prepared to reduce greenhouse gases.
However, Environment minister Dustin Duncan says the province has a significant plan to reduce greenhouse gases through several areas including renewable energy sources and carbon capture.
He says consultations have been held with numerous groups and more details will be forthcoming this year.
He accuses the NDP of waving the white flag and supporting Ottawa’s carbon tax.
