Country Thunder holds a benefit concert Friday for the families of those affected by the Humboldt Broncos bus crash earlier this month.
A special event goes in Saskatoon with acts like Brett Kissel, Gord Bamford and Jess Moskaluke performing.
Country Thunder Saskatchewan spokesperson Gerry Krochak says this will be a chance to get together, heal and enjoy a night of country music.
“I know that sports, especially the game of Hockey in this province, and music, are two things that bring people together,” Krochak says. “Hopefully we can help a little bit with the healing.”
Krochak says the goal is clear on what he hopes will be an evening where music can help in the healing process.
“Our goal is to write 29 cheques, and make sure some of those immediate expenses and funeral expenses and anything else the families need (covered), we’ll be there.”
Krochak hopes it will be an entertaining evening and a therapeutic evening as well.
