This morning before I pulled away from the house to make my way to work, I did what I always do. I went into my little change cup that I have in my console and grabbed enough change for parking today. As I pulled up to the station I remembered that I don’t even need parking change. I can’t feed a meter that’s not there!
Last week, for some unknown reason, the city took out the set of meters in front of the radio station where I park and erected a pole with a light on top. There is no meter for me to plug and no sign saying I can’t park there. It’s like winning the parking lottery!
Last week, instead of spending $3.50 a day for parking, I only spent $1.50 a day on cheezies. Thanks to the city, I’m actually saving $2 a day! I’m rich!
I don’t know how long this will go on before someone catches on to the fact that there is no meter where I park, but until that day arrives, I’ll enjoy my cheezies and my ever growing bank account, which has already accrued more than $10 over the course of the week!
