The NDP is calling on the SaskParty government to provide more support to victims of domestic violence.
Opposition leader Ryan Meili says the NDP want survivors of domestic violence to have the right to 5 days of paid leave from work, and up to 17 weeks of unpaid leave if needed.
He also wants more support for those suffering from mental trauma.
Premier Scott Moe says the province has legislation to support victims of violence including lease breaking and access to services.
He says work is ongoing to provide more support for survivors of domestic violence.
Moe says the province has put in place a domestic violence review committee to continue to work on the issue.
