The Western Hockey League hands out its yearly awards on Wednesday.
The player of the year award will go to either Moose Jaw Warriors forward Jayden Halbegewachs or Everett Silvertips goaltender Carter Hart.
One Regina Pat is up for an award. 20-year-old forward Matt Bradley is the Eastern Conference nominee for humanitarian of the year. He goes up against Vancouver Giants forward Ty Ronning.
The awards banquet comes one day before the league holds its annual bantam draft.
Because of trades the Pats have made over the past few seasons, it will be a long time until they have a selection.
Barring any movement, Regina will not select a player until the 6th round–130th overall.
