That’s what a combined meeting is all about with representatives from towns, villages and northern municipalities in Regina Wednesday and Thursday.
Saskatchewan Urban Municipality Association Vice-President of Towns, Rodger Hayward, said one of the common issues is landfills and the decommissioning of landfills, and dealing with the new environmental regulations.
Landfills are costly so these smaller centres need to figure out how to manage.
Government Relations Minister Warren Kaeding is speaking to the delegates , as is Fire Commissioner Duane McKay, to talk about wildfire management, prevention and preparation.
