What are your thoughts on parking at Evraz Place? Those that run the facility want to know as plans are in place to develop a new strategy when it comes to parking.
Evraz Place has a survey up on its website asking you about what it is like getting in and out of the venue for major events that happen inside the park with some of those happening at the same time because the venue is so busy.
The idea of the survey is to get feedback from users as they try to form a new parking plan which will ease the congestion and the wait times getting out which Evraz officials acknowledge is not meeting the expectations. Regina Exhibition Association President and CEO Tim Reid says when the parking lot is full, it can take up to 40 miutes to get around 3,500 cars off the property which is something that is not meeting the expectations of many.
Paula Kohl with Evraz Place says it is tough getting out, but some don’t realize there are other options when it comes to leaving.
“It is difficult, but part of the challenge is getting people to realize they can leave on Elphinstone or out through Princess as well.” Kohl said. “We are hoping this survey, which won’t take a long-time to fill out will create something that is easier for everyone and makes the experience better.
Kohl says in the first couple of hours of the survey being put up, they had 300 responses so she thinks there will be a wide range of opinions on the matter.
