The NDP is again pushing the SaskParty government for a provincial sexual assault strategy.
Opposition justice critic Nicole Sarauer says Saskatchewan has the second highest per capita rate of sexual assault in Canada, but is the only province with no strategy to combat the issue.
Justice minister Don Morgan says the issue is taken seriously and a report will be released shortly.
He says the province spends over 11 million dollars on victim services but more must be done.
He says the province has approved legislation to provide free legal advice to victims and allowed victims to have unpaid leave and the right to break residential leases.
