Premier Scott Moe took some time Wednesday to speak on the talks between BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan on the Kinder Morgan project.
Kinder Morgan they will pull the project in nine days if there is still opposition to the pipeline.
Moe said the Federal government needs to start speaking with the government of British Columbia if this is to be passed.
“To my understanding, these talks need to be ramped up, need to be more frequent and need to be more intense,” said Moe. “This is how we attempt to work as a nation. To collaborate work through these types of challenges.”
Moe said this pipeline is of utter importance to the three western provinces.
“As well to the broader nation of Canada. We only have nine days to have that discussion to really happen as per Kinder Morgan’s deadline.”
Other subjects of note at the table are NAFTA, transportation and pharmacare.
