Wind gusts reached 104 kilometers an hour Wednesday afternoon as a heavy thunderstorm passed through parts of Regina.
The same system brought ping-pong ball sized hail to the Chaplin area and around 50 millimeters of rain to Parkbeg earlier in the day.
Mike Russo, a Meteorologist with Environment Canada says active weather continues to be a possibility Thursday, but should remain closer to the U.S border.
“Yeah there is a definite possibility,” he said. “we are calling for scattered thunderstorms to develop later this (Thursday) afternoon, most of the activity should actually be generated out in the Montana area and North Dakota later in the afternoon Thursday before moving north after that,” he said.
Russo reminds everyone when watches and warnings are issued to always monitor the rapidly changing conditions in your area.
