RCMP and Transport Canada are investigating after a small plan made on emergency landing on a highway north of Shellbrook Sunday afternoon.
Around 1:45 p.m. RCMP learned the plane, a Piper Cherokee 6, had made an emergency landing on Highway 240 about 24 kilometers north of Shellbrook.
The plane landed safely on the road after clipping a highway sign and then came to rest in an adjacent field.
The lone occupant, a 41-year-old man from Clavet was not injured.
At this time no charges have been laid.
