Provincial Disaster Assistance Program (PDAP) Flood Recovery Centres will open later this week in the Town of Lampman and the Town of Alameda.
“Now that town residents are able to return home to survey the damage caused by the flooding in their community, I would encourage anyone affected to immediately begin the claims process by contacting PDAP and visiting the recovery centre in their town,” Government Relations Minister Warren Kaeding said in a statement.
The centres will provide immediate support and advice to residents in both towns and the surrounding areas who have been impacted by recent severe weather and flooding.
The centre will be staffed with PDAP officials who can initiate the claims process for residents. A provincial building official will also be available to answer questions related to structural safety and building concerns.
The Lampman centre will be open starting Thursday from 10-4 the town office. The centre in Alameda opens Friday at the town office from 9-noon.
