One day last week, after my morning shower, I was standing at the bathroom counter getting ready with what seemed like 100 pounds of gel in my hand, all ready for application. Whenever that happens, there is only one solution. Time to get a haircut.
Whenever my wife goes to get a haircut I know our bank account will be $200 lighter and when she comes home her hair will look exactly the same as it did the night before. “It looks great” I say when she strolls through the front door ever so proud of how she looks. Inside I’m thinking, “You spent $200 for that?” There’ll be none of that for me.
When I need a haircut I just head over to see my friend Linda, where I’ll be going this morning after work.
Linda makes it quick and easy for me. It’s about half an hour from the time I walk in until the time I leave. That includes the wash! Perfect. My wife is usually at her appointment for at least two hours. That works out to $100 per hour that her hairdresser is pulling in! Nice work if you can get it, and with my wife, she can!
My total? $30. That includes the tip.
Can’t beat that!
