Three north-end Regina schools were in a secure-the-building mode Tuesday afternoon, with a large police presence around all three.
Regina police say the protocol was put into place at Thom Collegiate, O’Neill High School and neighbouring St. Peters after a social media message Tuesday morning. Police are still trying to determine the validity of that message at this time, but it has been determined it is not a threat to staff or students.
Secure the building means all entrances to the school are locked with each door being monitored by staff until the protocol has been lifted with all activity coming in and out through the front door only.
Classes are continuing as scheduled this afternoon.
Regina Police are continuing their investigation.
