They are cleaning up in Estevan Friday after a massive storm pounded the city and southeast Saskatchewan.
Many spent Thursday night or Friday morning looking at the damage with one of them being the city’s mayor Roy Ludwig.
“The south side of the city was hit worse than the north.” Ludwig said. “Boundary Dam got hit bad as did the campsite and the golf course.”
Ludwig adds the hail was a bigger problem than the rain as the city and surrounding area received marble to tennis ball sized hail.
He also credits Saskpower for the tremendous job workers did in getting electricity back. With the hit at Boundary Dam, it was thought power would be off for several hours, but it came on much earlier than anticipated thanks to the hard work of crews.
