While cannabis users have an October 17th date for marijuana to be legalized, Regina Police Service reiterating it’s still illegal until then.
Six people are facing charges and warrants are out for two more as a result of illegal cannabis dispensaries.
Back in January, RPS held a news conference reminding the public that just because legalization is on its way, it’s not legal now.
Then in March, police had discussions with dispensary owners and operators which some have stopped their business while others have continued, prompting RPS to continue their investigations.
All six are from Regina, facing marijuana possession for the purpose of trafficking charges among others.
Police are now looking for 39 with Patrick Warnecke or Regina and 31-year-old Megan Potter also of Regina for similar charges.
