REGINA — A Regina bus caught fire at the city’s transit garage early Monday morning.
According to the city, Regina Fire & Protective Services (RFPS) responded to a fire alarm at the 300 Block of Winnipeg Street at 1:10 a.m.
Due to the hours, the building has been occupied at the time.
Upon arrival, RFPS identified that the fire alarm was set off by one bus fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters managed to douse the flame.
The fire caused significant damage to one bus, while two other adjacent buses sustained minor damage.
RFPS is determining the cause of the fire, which has been deemed not suspicious.
