Premier Moe applauds Trans Mountain Pipeline approval

The premier supports the Federal Government’s decision to approve the Trans Mountain Pipeline expansion after the investment of billions of taxpayers dollars into the project.

Scott Moe also says Ottawa must ensure this isn’t the last pipeline to get federal endorsement.

The premier says the province remains deeply concerned the rules set out in Bill C-69 will prevent future pipeline construction.

Moe calls Trans Mountain a crucial component for the Western Canadian energy sector to get its products to market as soon as possible.

The fact there will be no Saskatchewan oil flowing through Trans Canada prompted Moe to call for the completion of more pipeline projects like Energy East.
