Pats will try and bounce back against Swift Current

The Regina Pats will be wearing different jerseys tonight and they will be hoping to receive a different result against the Swift Current Broncos.

This evening, the Pats will be wearing SpongeBob SquarePants jerseys as apart of their Nickelodeon Night at the Brandt Centre. The jerseys will be auctioned off tonight, with the online bidding ending at 8:00.

Regina will look to get back into the win column after they had their three game winning streak snapped in Swift Current last night. The Pats jumped out to a lead thanks to Connor Bedard’s 100th career WHL goal. Parker Berge also had a goal for the Pats.

With the win last night, Swift Current moves into a tie with Regina for the seventh spot of the Eastern Conference, the Broncos do hold a three game edge on the Pats right now.

Tonight’s game is the final matchup between the two teams this season. After winning the first two contests, the Pats have dropped the last three games against the Broncos and now have a 2-2-1 record against them this season. A victory for Regina would clinch them the season series between the two clubs.

Following tonight’s game, the Pats will have a little bit of a break as their next game will be on Sunday, January 29 against the Medicine Hat Tigers. After that game, Regina will head out on a four-game road trip through Alberta.

Coverage for tonight’s game on 620 CKRM begins at 6:35, Dante De Caria will have the play-by-play beginning at 7:00.
