New high school for Emerald Park/White City on top of school division’s wish list

A new high school for the White City/Emerald Park area is at the top of the annual list of major capital projects for the Prairie Valley School Division.
Board chair Janet Kotylak said in a media release that the area is the only Saskatchewan community with a population over 5,000 that doesn’t have a high school.
The modernization of Greenall High School in Balgonie remains near the top of the list, as does the consolidation  of Grenfall School into a K-12 school.
Each year, school divisions submit their top three major capital funding priorities to the Ministry of Education, which then decides which projects will receive funding.
