Saskatchewan residents are not getting the complete picture of Sunday’s COVID-19 update due to an “unexpected, one-day staffing issue”, according to the provincial government.

“This delay includes the number of recoveries as well as regional breakdowns,” reads the update from the government. “Full details will be included in [Monday’s] case summary news release.”

Due to the delay of Sunday’s new recoveries, the province has not updated the active case count. Saturday’s active count was at 3,186.

Saskatchewan is reporting 307 new cases of COVID-19 as of January 10. There are no new deaths to report.

In terms of vaccines in the province, 7,929 doses have been administered.

1,098 of these doses were administered Saturday in Regina (220), Saskatoon (112), Prince Albert (110), the Far North East (559) zone and North East (97) zone. Some vaccinations that happened on Saturday in the province’s north may not have been reported yet.

This brings the totals to 2,069 Pfizer doses and 1,008 second doses in the Regina pilot program; 2,793 Pfizer doses in Saskatoon; 476 Pfizer doses in Prince Albert; 596 Moderna doses in the Far North West zone; 81 Moderna doses in the Far North Central zone; 809 Moderna doses in the Far North East zone; and 97 Moderna doses in the North East zone.
