Regina Police arrest 39-year-old man after a robbery on Albert Street

A 39-year-old man is facing a robbery charge after Regina Police were called to a business on the 4000 block of Albert Street late Sunday morning.

Officers were called to the scene around 11:15 a.m. where they learned the suspect walked up to the counter inside the business and demanded cigarettes, before fleeing once he realized police had been called.

Police arrived a short time later and arrested the man without further incident.

Thirty-nine-year-old Mitchell Legendre has been charged with one count of robbery.

Legendre will make his first court appearance Monday morning.
