In his role, Rod is Voice of the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Regina Pats, as well as 620 CKRM morning show sports broadcaster and host of CKRM’s nightly talkshows “Sportsline” and “The Coaches Show”.

Rod initially joined 620 CKRM full-time in September of
1995 where he was Voice of the Pats and was part of a two-person sports department under the direction of Geoff
Currier. His earliest appearance on Saskatchewan’s Sports

His first job in broadcasting was as an evening deejay while in high school at CFSL Weyburn. After attending Mount Royal College in Calgary, Rod headed north to Prince Albert as Voice of the Raiders on 900 CKBI before eventually returning home.

A sought-after public speaker, Rod makes many community and charity appearances when he’s not busy broadcasting hockey and football games and his motivational presentation “Finish The Job” has been very popular with youth, sports and business organizations.
