Regina, SK – Regina Crime Stoppers says it had a record year with more than a thousand tips received from the public.
All those tips helped to clear 19 cases, make 17 arrests and recover more $8,920 of stolen property and drugs.
Regina Police Chief Troy Hagen says although not every tip leads to an arrest, each call is very important.
“The tip will be acted upon and investigated. Every single tip that the Regina Police Service receives to the fullest extent possible.”
Since starting the program in 1984, Crime Stoppers has helped the Regina Police Service to recover more than 10-million dollars worth of drugs and stolen property.
