So I spend a lot of time hitting the movie theater. I will probably watch at least one movie every other weekend. This past weekend I checked out The Big Short which is a movie about the financial crisis of 2008 and the cause. The main plot is a real life event of people fore seeing the event coming and actually making money off of well the complete and total crash of the US economy. It gets played up as a comedy, which it is, but it breaks down and explains what happened.
I won’t lie that movie scared me more than any horror movie around. Here’s the thing this happened. A horror movie about a hillbilly running around with a chainsaw is the stuff of nightmares not reality. What happened in 08 that was reality and a nightmare. It’s entertainment yes but also a pretty solid educational experience. Totally recommend watching this movie. Keep in mind it’s got a hard R rating so lots of swearing, like a lot of swearing, and some stripper scenes.
