Regina Police says they are continuing to investigate a fatal motor vehicle/pedestrian collision which occurred Friday, January 8,
It happened in the west bound lanes of Victoria Avenue East.
A 39 year-old male died as a result.
Police says they were dispatched at 2:35 a.m. to the 900 block of Victoria Avenue East for a report of a single motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.
The vehicle, driven by a 19 year-old male, was west-bound on Victoria Avenue and came into collision with the 39 year-old male pedestrian, who was crossing Victoria Avenue from the south side to the north side.
Although it is still very early in this investigation, police are able to say that alcohol consumption by the driver was not a factor in the collision.
The next-of-kin of the 39 year-old victim have been notified of his death but his name will not be released by the Regina Police Service at this time.
