Lit candles amassing in front of a school in La Loche Saskatchewan are a stark contrast to the darkness which has engulfed the tiny community.
The town of 26-hundred people is in shock after a gunman opened fire at the community school, killing four and injuring others.
RCMP Chief Superintendent Maureen Levy says the investigation is still trying to determine the factors in this case, and can only make certain information available.
Levy says they have a single male in custody and have recovered the weapon.
The victims include 23-year old teacher, Marie Janvier, according to her father Kevin Janvier.
He says his daughter and two relatives of the alleged shooter were murdered in the incident.
RCMP will not confirm the age or gender of the victims and will not comment on how many people have been injured.
