John Chick says he is excited at working again with Kent Austin.
Chick says his first working arrangement with Austin turned out to be pretty successful in 2007 and he is hoping the two can celebrate another Grey Cup title in 2016 together.
Chick made the statements in Hamilton on Thursday morning as he made his first comments to reporters since signing with the team after being cut by the Saskatchewan Roughriders earlier this month.
Chick says he understands and accepts what happened, but added he was given basically a “take it or leave it” offer from the club.
While continuing his football career in another place, Chick says he holds Rider Nation in his heart for the warmth and support they gave him and his family during his time in Saskatchewan.
He says he will always feel a part of the community here because of that love shown.
