The Regina Police Service had to discharge a taser during an arrest on the weekend.
Officers responded to a domestic disturbance call on the 300 block of Toronto Street on Saturday at around 2 p.m.
A 41-year old man was extremely agitated, according to the police report, and there were saftey concerns for a female inside the residence.
Upon entering the residence officers were greeted by an extremely aggressive man who threw a refrigerator to the ground in the direction of police.
The man was tased and taken into custody without further incident.
He has been charged with breach of the peace and other community supports are taking steps to ensure the safety of those involved in the domestic situation.
