The Saskatchewan NDP says the government is breaking the law by running two consecutive deficits.
They say running those deficits is in violation of the Growth and Financial Security Act.
NDP Leader Cam Broten says he’s asking for the legislature to be called back for at least a one week sitting to deal with the issue.
“To provide the proper transparency, questioning and accountability that this circumstance demands and requires.”
Wall said yesterday the balanced budget law is not being broken because the government has switched to summary financial budgeting.
