The Toronto Maple Leafs are giving a nod to the past in unveiling their future logo.
For the first time in over 45 years, the N-H-L team will sport a new logo next fall to open the club’s centennial season.
It’s a fresh take on the “classic Maple Leaf” emblem of Toronto teams from the 1940’s to the 1960’s.
The new crest will align most closely to a version worn by the Leafs from 1963 to ’67 — the most successful era in Maple Leafs history.
The team hasn’t won the Stanley Cup since 1967.
