Who said winter hasn’t really arrived?
There are many extreme cold warnings across Canada Friday morning as it looks like cold weather is a norm throughout many parts of the nation.
Environment Canada has re-issued a few warnings in Saskatchewan as well.
As of Friday morning at 4:33am, extreme cold warning were issued for;
Kamsack – Canora – Preeceville, Hudson Bay – Porcupine Plain,
But the weather office has ended extreme cold warnings for;
Melfort – Tisdale – Nipawin – Carrot River.
Environment Canada says an arctic ridge of high pressure building into the prairies is bringing very cold air southward today with wind chill values near minus 40 over much of southern Manitoba and east central Saskatchewan Friday morning.
There will be some moderation in these wind chill values today as temperatures rise somewhat during the day, however extreme wind chills are expected again tonight into Saturday morning as this cold airmass persists.
