Regina’s business community is mourning the loss of Robert Gardikiotis.
The owner of the Copper Kettle restaurant in downtown Regina has passed away after a battle with cancer at the age of 81.
On the restaurant’s Facebook page, it states
Robert was not only a businessman but also a visionary and a pioneer for Downtown Regina. His drive and creativity impacted not only his businesses and staff, but our entire city. Robert was beloved by his family, staff and the customers he loved so much. He will always be remembered and never forgotten. Roberts family and staff have the great privilege to carry on his legacy. Having been in business for over 50 yrs, Roberts greatest saying was *This is not a job, this is my hobby”.
Gardikiotis and his wife have run the Copper Kettle since 1964.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning at St. Pauls Greek Orthodox Church.
