15,000 students from 425 schools across the province convened on SaskTel Centre for We Day Saskatchewan Wednesday.
The day is meant to kick start another year of positive change and inspire students to do good deeds on both a local and global level.
Youth in attendance had to earn their way in by participating in a local and global cause.
Students have done things to earn their ticket like gathering food for the food bank and helping out with the less fortunate in a community. One girl even donated her birthday money to charity.
The event at SaskTel Centre is one of just 14 hosted at different times arould the world.
Some of the speakers at the event included Henry “the Fonz” Winkler, astronaut Chris Hadfield, and Canadian Paralympian Rick Hansen.
