Kurt Oatway, Disabled Sit Skier who started with the Regina Alpine Adaptive Ski program and now a member of the Canadian Para Alpine Ski Team has captured the World Cup Crystal Globe for winning the overall World Cup Series in downhill for this ski season.
In men’s sitting division, Oatway clocked 1:12.93 for a decisive victory. He won three of the four downhills this season. Austria’s world championship silver medalist Roman Rabl was second in 1:14.43 and Akira Kano of Japan third in 1:14.91.
Kurt Oatway also received second overall in the Giant Slalom and third place in overall World Cup Series Events.
