Manitoba-based Cando Rail is apologizing for last week’s runaway rail car in Regina.
Vice-president Lee Jebb says the air brake was set, but suddenly released, and a worker couldn’t reach the hand brake.
The car loaded with asphalt rolled away from the Co-op oil refinery and travelled four kilometres through the city, crossing a number of streets along tracks owned by C-N Railway.
No one was hurt.
