Reginans woke up Tuesday morning to see something we didn’t see a lot of this winter—snow.
A system bringing close to 10 centimeters of snow hit overnight and will continue into the afternoon before it tapers off and conditions improve.
The snow has made highway travel treacherous with a travel not recommended status issued on all Regina area highways as well as Moose Jaw ones.
Anyone needing to venture out onto the highway is asked to check the Highway Hotline
While highway travel is not advised, Regina police are also asking for extreme caution when on the road as icy intersections have resulted in a number of fender-benders this morning.
City crews have been out cleaning streets.
