SaskParty Leader Brad Wall says the federal budget released Tuesday is disappointing.
Wall was hoping to receive 570-million dollars from the government as a way to make up for all of Saskatchewan’s equalization payments this year.
Wall had pitched an oil well cleanup program to the feds to create jobs in Saskatchewan.
He says there was no recognition of the program from the government in the budget
Wall says the federal government’s move to extend benefits to people collecting unemployment was a step in the right direction.
But, he says they missed a large portion of Saskatchewan residents affected by the downturn in the energy sector.
Wall says he was also surprised there was no extra money allocated to Saskatchewan’s infrastructure dollars.
