A crash involving two off-duty Winnipeg police officers will be investigated by the R-C-M-P in Saskatchewan.
The request for an outside look comes from Manitoba Justice after the March 12th collision that happened when the officers’ vehicle struck a parked car in a residential neighbourhood.
Both officers were injured and there was extensive damage to both vehicles and a fire hydrant, but no other details about the crash have been released.
The Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba was reviewing what happened when its civilian director identified a conflict of interest and said the unit should not be involved.
