ATV safety needs to be included in this election campaign.
That from the Saskatchewan All Terrain Vehicle Association.
The Association’s John Meed says some of the things they are looking for include funding for safety training and education programs, funding to create dedicated ATV trails, and ATV registration to ensure proper enforcement and funding.
Last year, there were 9 people who died as a result of ATV accidents. 1,019 more were injured.
Meed says the ATV Act is outdated because boats and snowmobiles have already seen funding come their way to make the activity safer.
