33-year old Michael Elwin Goodpipe has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Andre Aubertin.
An investigation was launched at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, when police were dispatched to a house in the 1000 block of Princess Street for a weapons call and report of an injured man.
Police and EMS arrived and located a man who was transported to hospital, where Aubertin was pronounced dead.
The investigation into the event led to the arrest of 27-year old Jerid Cole Azure, who was charged with second-degree murder.
Police were then dispatched to a residence on the 1100 block of McTavish Street on March 30, for a report for a suspicious person who had barricaded himself inside.
A 33-year old man and 26-year old woman were taken into custody.
33-year old Michael Elwin Goodpipe from Regina has been charged with second-degree murder.
He made his first appearance in court on March 31.
In 2006, Goodpipe pleaded guilty to manslaughter in connection with the murder of Wayne Gerald Friday.In connection with the Aubertin death, 27-year old Jerid Cole Azure from Fort Qu’Appelle was also charged with second-degree murder.
He appeared in court on Wednesday.Aubertin’s death is the city’s second homicide of the year.
